VR Testing Ground
A VR sandbox built to see how far “too many mechanics” can be pushed before it breaks.
This project is a fast-paced, experimental VR game built in Unreal Engine 4 using kitbashing techniques and Unreal Marketplace plugins. Developed during the pandemic as a way to explore and rapidly prototype game design ideas, it serves as both a creative outlet and a testing ground for new mechanics.
Players can wield a wide arsenal of weapons, dual-wield swords to slice enemies apart, dodge, block, and deflect bullets, slow time for cinematic combat, and dynamically traverse environments using grapple hooks.
Built as a sandbox experiment, the project explores how many gameplay mechanics can be integrated into a VR shooter while pushing the boundaries of immersion, responsiveness, and player freedom.
